Data/Results/Conclusion

This study shows Disney Princesses from different time frames and how little it has changed. Snow White, Ariel, and Cinderella all fall into the stereotype of reliant on men, homemakers, beautiful, and dependent. While Disney has made huge strides in re-defining what a woman is, they still far short and are still very much making men superior and giving adolescents a false image of what being "beautiful" is.

I had grown up watching Disney movies my whole life. I was never aware of what the underlying meanings were as an adolescent, and cringe at the thought of future generations, specifically young girls, seeing women in this light. My findings show the disney princesses perpetuating stereotypes from past to present, it will be interesting to see if Disney can ever break out of this cycle.
